LFHS Counseling Department

  •  FRESHMEN: TEST TSI if you want dual enrollment classes for next year. 


  •  SOPHOMORES:   Test TSI, if you haven't already done so!
  •  JUNIORS:    Start doing research on college choices. 


  •   SENIORS:   Turn in college acceptance letters and/or scholarship letters to your counselor as soon as you received them!

    Counselors' Tip

    It is never too early to start doing college research!  Whether entering Freshman or fixing to be a Senior, get on your favorite college's website & see what it is all about!  Not sure about a college?  Do a simple Google search on possible careers & top colleges for that career. 
    When all else fails....make a trip to our Go Center!

    The Dual Enrollment program builds an academic bridge to college, providing students and their parents with a preview of post-secondary standards and expectations while studying in a familiar setting. Eligible students may receive both high school and college credit.

    It is recommended that Seniors test the TSI at the college they plan to attend; however, testing
    can be done at any college testing center.   
    Any student planning to take dual enrollment courses
    needs to take and pass the TSI.

    Volunteer Hours

    Students can begin acquiring volunteer hours the summer after their 8th grade graduation.  Use this form to document when/where you did your volunteer hours.  Make sure to get the form signed by whoever is overseeing the hours.  You can turn this form in to your Counselor or at the GO Center.  Remember to keep a copy for your documentation.  Any student graduating with 100 or more hours will be acknowledged at graduation.  This is not mandatory; however, it is highly recommended.  Looks great on college & scholarship applications!  Have fun!

    Any student planning to attend college will need to have proof of their MCV4 (bacterial meningitis) vaccination.  The vaccine is currently being offered to all uninsured students at:
